Complete noob!

Hi there!

I'm a reformed Social Worker/Glass Artist/hopingtobeagraphicdesigner 30's something new to this industry. When I went to college for art and design, I learned how to silkscreen and lithograph. Do the math.:eek:

I recently started seriously trying to teach myself the Creative Suite programs and am having a blast with the end deal being I get to quit my high-stress day job (hopefully with a flourish and a great big "up yours"...but I digress)!

After perusing this forum, I want to hide my website. Dear God what was I thinking? BUT...I will show you my glass art (http://www.glassartists.org/Gal9714_CNCInspirations_-_Cassandra_Barragan_s_Gallery.asp). That I'm proud of. :)

Anyhoo...I lurk alot and will be sure to share my work as it gets a bit better.

Hope design works out for you but even as much as we would like you, it's better not to burn bridges with your current employers just in case. Hey, they might even want your design services in the future so leaving with a big "up yours" wont win you any fans.

I would eat your glass art if I didn't know they were glass.

Well Kool, maybe there are a million reasons for not immediately responding to this and any other internet based correspondence.....and for now....my smartass-self will keep said reasons to myself. Interesting to note forum personalities are present on every board...no matter what the topic.

Heh heh, thanks Red. There's no doubt I am a forum personality but somehow I don't think Cassie meant it in a good way. I'm glad she kept her "smartass-self" to herself though, would hate to think what she would have said to me if she let it out. I do wish she would have said a couple of the millions of reasons though so I wouldn't have to wonder anymore.
