selling a domain

I have a guy that wants to buy my domain hirethisdesigner.com for 800 dollars I told him 1000 but how would we transfer it and how would I not get screwed...???

You could enlist the services of an attorney, in which case you would be assured of not being screwed by the purchaser...

Unfortunately, you would likely be screwed instead by the attorney to the tune of $999.83 - leaving you with a net of 17-cents.

write up a bill of sale sign it and send it to them to sign and return it you after they make a copy, then have them WIRE the funds to your account. Once the funds clear then change the registration to them, but only after you have notification from your bank that the wired funds have cleared (24 hours), or ask for a cashiers check, once you get it, call the bank it was drawn on to confirm it is good, then release the ownership. If they balk at either choice the run not walk away from them.


I have included my domain sale agreement on this post. I bolded what needs to be added/changed.


Have the notarize it as well if they will as this (once notarized) is a legal document that can be used in a court of law against them.
