Which 2008 presidential front runner has the best bumper sticker? Pentagram's Michael Bierut critiques them in this Newsweek article:

Enjoy!

I'm going with Edwards...not necessarily for President, but for Best Bumper Sticker.

That's great stuff! Interesting to hear his critiques on the font choices, and the choice of a couple candidates to use only their first name.

I remember a similar article that came out after the Kerry/Bush election. The writer surmised that since the election was so close, that Kerry's serif font choice may have made him seem weaker in voters' eyes (subconsciously, at least) in comparison to Bush's stronger, bolder sans serif choice. Kerry's flag logo also just looks like a flag. Bush's looks more like an icon.

The election was relatively close that year. The author of the article put out the question of just how much something like this could have affected the voter outcome, and if he'd won if he'd had better graphic design.

My favourite that I've seen around lately is:

Bingo! That's the one. Damn, morea, you really are quite the librarian! :D

One of my gd professors handed that out to our class. He felt it was important for us to see that seemingly insignificant choices just miiiiight make a much bigger difference than you think.

Those are the front runners stickers?
They all suck. The stickers, I mean.
