It's redundant. Every day, I click that button, (The GDF forum) and I think about how it says Graphic Design Forum Forum...Anyone else?

Like when people say "PIN Number" PIN stands for Personal Identification Number dummy.

i have definitely wondered that myself. Most of us around here though just refer to it at "The GDF" without the 'forum' after. But yea i totally agree with the redundancy there.

It's like my university used to be called AUT and now it's rebranded AUT University. Full name: Auckland University of Technology University.

now thats pretty dumb, a university shouldn't be naming itself like that. I mean, imagine the office letterhead.

KIND of on topic...
A local university, Marquette, changed its name from the Marquette Warriors (deemed offensive) to Marquette Gold. Thats right, they are the Marquette Gold. This was voted on after the original idea to replace the Warriors, "Marquette Golden Eagles" was deemed "boring, weak and too common" (story here (http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=323576)) Anyway, what kind of a sports team had a "Gold" mascott? Talk about rebranding failures.

I started to make a shower joke here, but it was too inappropriate.
