Those are a few of my fave color websites. Hope that helps. Looks like a nice sofa. I love the tiling and wood floor you've got, btw!

In all honestly I'd hire a decorator. They typically know their sh!t and the "looks good" effect won't wear off after a couple of weeks. It all depends on the room, the lighting, your decorations and the like.

Just like we tell "graphic designers" with their own copy of MS_paint... you might want to hire a professional.

The sofa is quite neutral, so just about any bold color will look nice. But then again I'm a graphic designer, not an interior designer. So perhaps I have no clue.

That seems to be everyone's problem, but from personal experience, 9 times out of 10, you'll save money waiting, saving up some money, and doing it right the first time. Rather than doing it right the second or third time.

Especially curtains and carpet... those can be some hefty bling to screw up.

Well considering your a designer you should have a basic clue of what colors should work and what should not. This is were repetition and contrast come in handy- hint hint.

Just so you know, sm... You've posted this in the Showcase forum. This is where we post graphic design works we've done for others to critique. This would be better suited for the "Off Topic" forum.

Can’t believe no one posted this yet...

What ever color you choose the carpet should match the drapes!

You should buy a big can of paint and put some explosives in it. Light the fuse and duck for cover. Your whole room will now be 1 colour. No colour matching problems!!! I saw Mr Bean do that so it must be sweet.

Act 4: Bean decides to give his flat a make-over. He first realises that moving a table is impractical as he can no longer put objects on it through the hole in the kitchen wall. Bean's solution - just move the hole. He then decides to paint his room white, using the head of Teddy as a paintbrush. He quickly tires of using this method as he ends up getting paint on things. Bean's solution - he covers everything in his room (including the grapes) in newspaper and plants a super-firework in a can of white paint, ignites the firework, and runs out of the room. Bean returns to find his newly invented paint bomb worked; however while he was gone, Hubert returned to the flat for his hat he'd left the night before and got caught in the blast. Bean is shocked to find that there's a trail of white footprints leading out of his flat, and an image of Hubert reaching for his hat is frozen onto a section of wall as the only unpainted areas.

Just make sure no one comes into the room by mistake or you will get a person sized shape on your lovely new painted room.

Like Blackadder!

Maybe I'm a freak, but I just don't give that much of a rats ass about interior design. I suppose I've never owned though, so have always been limited with what I can do, and on a tight budget and moving constantly. Maybe when I settle I will give more of a rats ass what colour my curtains are. As long as I've got some good photos and art with memories attached on the walls I'm happy.

Sorry, Buda, but the Mythbusters proved that didn't work (http://kwc.org/mythbusters/2006/05/episode_52_mind_control_painti.html) :D
