Hello

I am really stuck and would love some help...
I am working on a magazine cover and the text on the front is going to be a white glazed/varnished ink on a matte image. The printer needs the PMS number for the white color but there is no pantone white!
What to I do?
Do I just create a CMYK Spot color and specify that it is opaque white?
Or do I somehow use pantone black?
Please come to my rescue...this is holding up production...
THANK YOU!

are you using white paper? can't you just not print there?

I would just not print the text at all and do a spot uv over the top of the non printed text.

when printing on dark stocks, we use opaque white, there is no other white pantone ink

be aware that to get a decent looking opaque white, it usually requires 3-4 dry trap hits, not ideal for your magazine cover.

I would listen to budafist and just knockout what you want white...
