Congrats, I know around here the real estate market has slowed considerably. It was red hot for the longest time but has been slowing for about 2 years now.

well, we (that is my wife and I) made the decision to move because of our son. He has special needs which the local school just can't meet. Their hearts are in the right place, but they just don't have the right experience.
We have found a school and a house in a town called Wymondham (pronounced 'windam') - a very picturesque market town a few miles south of Norwich. We're about 15 miles east of Norwich so it's not a big move.
So that's about it really. This move might benefit me in the long term too, because it puts Cambridge within a commutable distance and therefore opens up the scope for applying for new jobs.
thanks for all your good wishes everyone.

Congrats doc!
I put my place up for sale and still haven't got any offers... just three inquiries for a month now. It's a bit far out of town, but it's a growing area...it's known for isolated insecurity inciodeneces but we counter that by hiring private security. I guess it will be a long time before anybody buys, by then it will be a prime place in 10-15 years.
