ARRRRGH!
Ok I accidentally started Quark 6.5 and then force quit it.
Now...that I need it, it wont launch.
A window pops up telling me "
the application has unexpected quit. MAC OSX and other apps wont be affected. Click reopen to open again. click report to see more details or send a report to Apple"
Neither will fix the problem, I have quit and restarted it many times, and rebooted the computer. Anything else I can do outside of reinstalling?
Thanks in Advance!

Have you trashed your preferences?
Trashing your preferences would be the next step before trying the re-install.

Perhaps a corrupt system font? Unfortunately, I'm a mac-tard so I can't really direct you as to how to check for or repair that. :(
I've had ^that^ happen to me before, but we have a guy here who's a super-whiz with macs and he was able to do the futzing for me. He's on vaca this week though.

That's happened to me before. Every time it has turned out to be some crazed font thats gone awry.

Quit Quark, trash the ttfont folder in The Quark 6 application directory > Jaws >
ttfont. Download a copy of FontFinagler and run that. Reboot. See if that works.
FontFinagler > http://homepage.mac.com/mdouma46/fontfinagler/
That should fix it if it's a font issue.

Try emptying the contents of the font cache folder that Quark makes. It's in the Applications>Quark>jaws>ttfont folder.
Edit: Double jinx! :D

I was just about to give up and reinstall, when I doubled checked everything again.....
turned out I guess I didn't drag the preferences all the way to the trash so I didn't actually trash them.
works fine now.
One of those days I guess.
Thanks for the help!
