new layout is in cm even though prefs are inches

making a new layout for cover to include spine - measurements are precise and in inches and fractions.

new layout is only giving cm measurements

i have measurement prefs set to inches.

how can i make the new layout dialog show inches?

Unfortunately I'm no help to you here.

Which version of Quark are you using? It may help someone that can help answer your question. Hopefully they'll be along soon, it does however get a little quiet around here on the weekends.

thanks - i am using quark 6.5 -

have coverted to mm to make file then changed rulers to inches - so right now it's not a deadline question, just seems like a misfunction and a nuisnace for the next projects.

any ideas anyone?

Set your prefs without a document open. If a doc is open, preferences are specific to that doc.
