Hey,
I recently did a DVD cover design for a client and they asked me where is a good place to print at a good price. Do anybody know a good place other than Kinkos or Staples around the DC/MD/VA area or on a website? I recommended wavewerks.com but the client said they are expensive.
Thanks in advance

After checking that website, I'd hate to think what the client thinks is not expensive.
I don't think you'll find a Kinkos or Staples that can match even that price point...
Good luck.

I'm no judge. I don't do 4-color. But 26 cents may be kinda hard to beat for the 4/4 print that's on special. For inserts. If you are talking about something else, you need to be more specific.

It depends on quantity and colour. If you're printing less than 500 full colour then you'd probably go digital. Anything more, you should look at going offset. The quality is much better offset. If you're printing 3 or less colours, then have a look at offset.

I see alot of this 4/0 or 4/4 options. Does this mean either printing is done on one full side of the dvd cover which is 4/0 or both sides which is 4/4.
Because when designing a dvd cover the spine plus the front and back side is all on one document
4/0 means one side (four colors).
4/4 means two sided. Four colors on one side and 4 on the other.
I would assume you just want 4/0. Haven't come across any dvd covers with a back lately, lol.
The front cover should be on the right side and the back to the left of the cover.

You client is cheap. They'd be fools to scoff at those prices. At those prices, though, I can't help but wonder if the quality is good.

wavewerks does good printing. I get my personal stuff printed there...Alot of printing companies rarely offer 100 or 250 Qty. as the minimum. Im sure if you look hard enough you will find some. But most companies have a minimum of 500 to 5000 copies. Somethings I only need a 100.
