Today Canon has finally announced the much anticipated 40D. With so many rumors and supposed leaked product shots of the beast over the last few months, it seems like it has taken forever to surface. Here's a link to a detailed review:

They're previewing the 1Ds Mk III (http://www.dpreview.com/previews/canoneos1dsmarkiii/), also. A buddy of mine's been waiting for this one ever since the 1D Mk III came out, this will be good news for him and something else for me to drool over... I'm in for the 40D, though, as soon as it's available.
