So Im going to this community college and they have 2 different graphic design plans a certificate or a associates degree and i was wondering is there going to be a real difference between the 2 ? and if there is why?

The difference between the two will be the number of courses you take. I'd take advantage of the associates program and learn as much as you can, though some of those extra courses may be more general education courses that aren't directly related to your field. Check out the catalog and compare the number of design-related courses in each program.

In the end, what will land you a job will be a strong portfolio and good interview skills. If you have both, the degree you hold won't matter nearly as much.

Yeah, thats what i thought... it is all the general education to i guess make you have a well rounded degree but at this point i am fed up w/ math classes so i was going to go w/ the certificate and then if i really want an assocaites i can take all the classes to make it an associates.

so thats just what i thought anyways thanks for you reply
