I thought Vancouver was Canada's answer to Hollywood?
I spent some time in Canada. I was in Ottawa for one day. That's the only time I've been out of the country. Yes, I've lead a sheltered life.

I was living in Syracuse at the time. I don't know the geography of Canada as well as I should, but I think it was like 4 hours? It was ten years ago on July 4th (I know, of all the days to NOT be in the US) and I didn't drive so I barely remember. :D
You know I'd love to visit ya mo... We can talk about cats and graphic design till the Canadian cows come home! :D

you are not! You're another 4 hours west of Ottawa! Maybe we could meet up in Ottawa (since it's about halfway) for some serious Canadian brewskis.

If I was drunk and walking, and was a hundred miles tall, sure – I just might lose my balance enough to step on your town on the way there.

It is!?
That reminds me of this "exotic dancer" I knew in Key West, Angel. I was giving her a footrub in the club one night, and when I was done, I told her to smell my fingers. She did so on reflex, before she remembered. :D Up until that point, she was loving me for my awesome foot massages.

I'm about 4 hours west of Ottawa, I think. 2 hours west of Montreal. Not that my one day spent in Canada makes me an expert, but isn't Quebec east of both Montreal and Ottawa?

j'comprends une petit le francais.
I took Latin for many years, so I read French fairly well, but my spoken French is quite AWFUL, though my accent is fairly good =).
And I've never been to Lake George, but I have heard the most wonderful things about it !

if you're ever lost in a french speaking country, here's what you need to know:
if you're hungry: je voudrais une pizza.
if you're thirsty: je voudrais une bière.
if you need the facilities: où sont les toillettes?
vx - give me a heads up next time you plan to visit Montrèal. ;)

I took four years of voice lessons while I was in college. One of the most important things in classical voice training is the ability to mainain a consistent vowel sound. This was difficult in French because there are so many more vowel sounds than in English, and they're very particular. And many of them are dipthongs (a vowel sound that changes). I hated singing in French. The only piece I liked was "Youkali" written by Kurt Weill (who also wrote "The Alabama Song" most notably performed by the Doors. ;))

Um.. a mile is 5280 feet so the plane would only have a wingspan of about 3/4s of a mile. :D
Well, I fulfill the "Canadian" portion of your query. "Designer" is an entirely different story.
