I am a newbie with this CMS. I am working with a company that uses Joola. I have heard that Joomla is a powerful tool that allows you to integrate and interact other apps with Joomla. Is that correct?
Does anyone know if it's possible to integrate the CRM Salesforce ( https://www.salesforce.com) into Joomla?
Do you know anything about it?
Thank you.

Basically we are trying to redesign the entire website. I have never used any CMS like Joomla. I have worked with CMS we create for clients, 100% customized. I don't really like the idea to use Joomla and the reason is because I don't really now it's advantages and limitations.
I am trying to find a good reason to stick with it. If I can integrate Salesforce as a part of the website, I mean if I can interact between SF and the website I would stick with Joomla, otherwise I would recommend to design their own CMS that would allow to integrate it into the website. Does it make sense?

I guess i dont know what Joomla is, it seems to be a CMS, but so is Salesforce, so why are you trying to integrate two CMS's? You can use Salesforce in a website, using things like web-to-leads and such... is that what youre looking for? do you currently have joomla and want to switch to salesforce? sorry, im confused

Joomla is an open source Content Management Systems and Salesforce is a Customer Relationship Management that I want to integrate to a website. I mean I want to incorporate certain information and features from SF into the website so clients can access to the website and see, download, update and upload information automatically and because it is connected with SF, the information will be updated automatically on SF. That is basically what I need. Any ideas?

The best thing to do is check out the Joomla web site and ask on their forums. Here is the URL: http://www.joomla.org/
From the looks of things, they do allow some applications to be installed into the system. They call them extensions - http://extensions.joomla.org/
A third party company called PICnet has created a Joomla extension called J!Salesforce (http://www.picnet.net/content/view/66/21/) that integrates the two services.
