In Quar k5 if I want to correct a tif file, I double click on that file and Photoshop immediately opens up. Now when I do this in Quark 6, I can't seem to do it. I even looked in preferences. Is there a trick to doing this?

Quark 6.5 introduced QuarkVista (do I have the right name? I think I do).
QuarkVista was Quark's very own version of an image manipulation programme, quite basic in comparrison to PhotoShop but they felt like throwing some R&D money away.
So now double clicking the image doesn't work 'cos QuarkVista wants to come out and play. I personally have never used it and I slowed down and eventually stopped using Quark quite a while back now. There may be a workaround. But I don't know it.

Oh that sucks!! Thanks for the info and the reply. That's screwed up! If one my company worked in Indesign. They improved in Quark but to the point now making it inconvenient in some cases!

You can disable the Vista Xtension in Xtensions manager.
