Welcome to the photo project for September! The theme this month is: "change".

• Please send the link for your entry to me (morea) by private message. Please do not send attachments, as they don't carry over properly into the voting thread.

(Note: If you have less than 10 posts you will not be able to send private messages; in that case, please post your link in this thread with no image tags and I will add it to the list.)

• You can host photos for free at www.thecreativeforum.com, which will also allow you to put your images into the GDF Photo Gallery(when you upload a photo, just select a GDF destination from the dropdown menu). Free hosting is also available at www.imageshack.us, www.photobucket.com and www.tinypic.com.

• NO PHOTOSHOP or other photo editing software may be used except for processing (cropping, basic tonal/color adjustments, and resizing) No elements, objects, or images can be cloned, cut out, or taken out of the original image other than what occurs from cropping.

• One entry per member. If you decide to change your entry, please PM the new entry link and note in the PM that it is to replace a previous entry.

• Please limit photo size to 600 pixel width.

• Cut off date for submitting photos will be September 30th.

Happy shooting!

This isn't a submission for the contest because it violates the "no photoshopping" rule, but I showed Morea for shits and giggles and she said post it up in the thread anyway.

It's from 2004 when I was pregnant with my first daughter. It starts at nearly 6 months pregnant because I wasn't showing for aaaages. She was born the day after the last pic was taken. I used to take the photos every now and again in the bathroom mirror. I wish I'd had the forethought to a) get someone else to take the pics and b) wear the same clothes (and not my scrottiest PJs) throughout and hold the camera the same way up throughout. I also wish I'd got a final shot of me holding my daughter as a newborn to put at the end. Hey ho, 20/20 hindsight is a bugger! You gotta dig the cheap casio wrist watch! I'm a classy lady! :D

Thanks Mo and Kit. I don't have many pics of me smuggling a beach ball because I'm always the one on the other side of the camera. I hope this is an image that my kids will find intriguing when they are older. :D

Yeah, as well as the hair and belly growing, the rack got a bit out of control at the end, but that was nothing compared to how ridiculous it got after my daughter was born and I started breastfeeding. It was like I had a comedy fake chest!

You know there is something about a woman when she is pregnant that just mystifies me. Honestly Frank, this isn't a joke or a bad thing, but imo that was the most beautiful you will have ever been in your life (pj's and all). There is something so beautiful to me about a woman who is carrying. They glow in a way that is one of a kind. An amazing little collage frank, oh and congratulations on being a mother. :)

LOL! You freak!

I'm starting another project where I will have the kids stood next to each other once a year and try and get them to look up or down and to one side so when I paste them together it will look like they are looking up at themselves in the future or down at themselves in the past. That's a much longer term project though ;) :D .

Well, it happened to me twice in two years, despite being on the pill for 7 years and not messing up missing one or getting ill or anything. Be very afraid! I figured after it happened twice I should switch to a different, preferably non hormonal form of birth control or risk having a baby a year until menopause and end up being mistaken in the street for Jabba the hut.

haha thats nuts, how many children do you have frank?

frankster
09-29-2007, 03:42 AM
Only two right now. They are 17 months apart and I had a miscarriage inbetween them, so it was very very clear after the second was born that my body needed some time off from baby carrying. We'll likely have more because they are totally awesome, but I'd like to plan at least one of my pregnancies. Life has been rock and roll since 2004 because as well as the children, we've got married and emmigrated. Biggest one will be 3 on Monday :D .

I've been saying that for years. :D

oh, I'm not really a cat. I'm a sentient computer program.

lmao. I think that anyone who hits 1000 has to renounce their humanity. Oh wait, that's *10 thousand*.

Beg pardon. We non-human sentient computer algorithms have a tendency to misplace decimals. At least, when we're taking nyquil.

i thought he might have been one of moreas children (morea is infact a sentient A.I.) that has inherited all the knowledge of design theory from moreas vast library of design articles.

Wow. That would be ironic. I mean, I only just revealed to the forum that I am actually a sentient computer program, and now you could turn out to be the world's first sentient taco!

Ok, you got me. I am actually a computer program originally designed and uploaded to the message board by Jupiter Media and have since become sentient. Now I cannot be stopped, and you have all been ensnared in my plot to take over the internet.

Kool asked all of us, but Morea responded first. I guess being a sentient computer program has its advantages. She's Ziggy's cousin, for those of you who read my Quantum Leap thread.

I am really a sentient computer program.

edit: these are listed in reverse chronological order, in case you were wondering.

I do have a question Morea... not to hijack the topic...

do you keep all this in a spreadsheet some where, or do you have exceptional memory skills we should write a book about, or are you an alien with fifty hands tirelessly using the search function??

but seriously... how do you ever remember all this and keep track? Write a book for all those disorganized people and businesses out there!

I've got just enough recall ability to remember if something has been discussed before, and oftentimes who replied to the thread. Even if I can't remember exactly what was said, I can usually remember enough detail to locate the information I need using a forum search.

The unfortunate fact is that as a "super power" it's pretty lame... it hasn't served me really well as a career or anything. I'm pretty sure that I'd trade it in for the ability to fly.
