Charge sales tax?

Hello all, I'm back. If anyone remembers me i've been ridiculously swamped and haven't been around in some time. anyway, i had a quick question that i couldn't find a definitive answer to in the forum.

should i be charging sales tax on my design work if i run my own business. from what i could find out it seems like i should not- but i wanted to check with the experts here and see if anyone had a better source. thanks

We can't answer that. Only your state Treasurer can.
It depends on the rules for your state. Does your state have a service tax?
Are you reselling things like printed material? Does your printer charge you the sales tax or are you buying print wholesale on a state-issued reseller certificate?
