This is the cover image for a book I'm putting together. 7 Deadly Sins of Racing.

It's pretty to look at. What is it being used for? It's very complicated for a logo. Was it you or someone else that had another design like this floating around that had some splashes of colour on it. The last one was very right hand heavy with the colour all being on the right.
This design is also right heavy with the effects concentrated on the right. Why's that?
Damn dude...do you do anything that even halfway sucks...LOL.
This looks really cool. It's a little 'busy' for my taste, but I still really like it. Can't wait to see the book when it's finished.
Nice Job! Keep up the great work!

What are the seven sins of racing? Not checking your mirrors would be one I suppose...

book cover yes, logo no.
I agree 100%. While beautifully desinged, it is way to complex to be considered a logo IMO.
Might want to take a look at the placement of deadly sins. deadly looks too close to the bottom and sins looks too close to the top. Also my eyes keep getting drawn to the pin stripes on the bottom left. They look out of place.

I didn't know lens flare was an element in grunge artwork, but I knew white "paint" splatters were.

I dig it for a book cover, a logo not so much. Also the "of" is hard to see, I had to read it 3 times until I saw it floating on the left there, might wanna make that a bit more obvious. Other then that I think its pretty rad for an ornate concept.

I think it looks awesome, but i would lose the lens flare and the white paint splatter. They don't seem to add anything, and the flares are particularly distracting.

This is a very limited step process of how I kinda work. Hope somone gets something from this..... and below is a little quick render, just so you get a size idea of the cover.......I may reduce the size a bit, but you get the idea..

I think it would be a great book cover - I would like to see it without the lensflare and paint splatters because I love the before sketch :)
Very nice work Klassic.

I kinda like it as a logo too. Just a little bit too much fine detail, but I like it.
That brown version in your sketches is sweet.

not a very good sketch at all, I had like 5 random layouts for the "logo" "icon" or whatever you want to call it. It is just about getting your ideas out of your head and on paper. Thanks for all the looks fellas, I appreciate all the feedback. Going to tweak the logo a bit, atleaset the words deadly sin, as far as the textures, I really like the flares and splatter.......so well see, once again thanks to all......!
