OKAY I’m PISSED!
You know those stupid stock tip spam emails…it’s not bad enough they hijacked and send out from my own mail server…they just sent me a tip via text message on my phone. I pay for text messages…if I had 10 million dollars to waste I’d trace the pancaker down and sue him for the damn dime he owes me. Son of a basset hound they need to take care of these people.

I have gotten some spam texts recently too and its ticking me off ... how do you stop that?
I'm on a do not call registry .. does that not effect text msgs? :mad:

really wish I new a way to send them something that would fry their servers. I don’t know how they spoof my email address, This was happening well before I started dual booting windows on my computer. I don’t know if my ISP can even do anything to stop it, since it’s probably all done via proxy. Guess it’s a price you pay being on forums, writing blogs and such.
I'll contact tmobile, see if they can filter texts to just those in my address book.

I just started getting these spam texts on my phone too. They are almost illegible. I got one a week ago (on a saturday morning) at 5am! My phone started ringing, so I jump out of bed thinking omg, something is wrong with someone in my family! Man I was sooo pissed!
I would be majorly pissed, too!
I have never gotten those, thankfully, but I was getting spam conference chats on Skype. They have all stopped now. They got me killed a couple times while playing a MMORPG. :D

they say they cannot do anything.. bastiches. I cannot believe that, but why would they stop it? they get the 10 cents. I wouldn't mind as much if it wasn't coming in before my alarm goes off, as it has happend.

There is a company here that pays you to receive text message advertisments to your phone. Mental.

If they won't do anything about it, might as well completely disable texts. I purchased a 300 message plan for 5 buvks cause of my dopey friends, I don't want to waste those on spam...hasn't happened again, but It would suck if the flood gates opened and I got these messages all the time
