I have a gradient background that I'm using in an image. I'm putting it on the page using CSS, with a background color that is supposed to be the ending gradient color. When I use CS3 and save for web, the color shifts or something because the background color is slightly off of the bottom of the gradient. If you look at the attached file, you will see what I mean. On the right, I did a levels adjustment so you can see the difference.

when I take this same image file into Photoshop CS2 and do a save for web, it saves fine, with no color shift. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it a setting in CS3 that I'm not seeing? Please help!

One more thing. I looked at the save for web dialog box in both CS2 and CS3. When you are looking at the optimzed view, at the bottom there is some info. If you have the hand tool selected, as you move, the info changes, giving you color settings. The bottom of the gradient was set to #003333. In CS2, when I move my hand to the bottom, it shows as #003333, but in CS3, when I move my hand to the bottom it shows the color has shifted to #003030. Any way to change this setting so it won't shift the colors?

OK, problem solved. In case anyone was wondering, there is a setting in Photoshop CS3 Save For Web Dialog box that is set to "convert to sRGB". This is what was causing the shift in color. I unchecked that, and it worked like a charm!
