As most of you 'veterans' know, each year I design my own 'car-themed' 'holiday' card for all of my clients.

Well, I've been workin' on my new one for this year and thought I'd bounce it off you guys for a bit of feedback before I decide how I'm going to print them.

Typically I print them on my own inkjet with high quality photo paper but I'm thinkin' about going digital (online) on these to save me some time. The money/time will be a wash I think based on the prices I can get with an online place.

So...let me hear your thoughts. It'll be a 5.5" x 8.5" when folded...

And a couple close-up shots of some detail...

Any feedback will certainly be appreciated. And btw...it's all done in Illy 10. :)

Thanks!
Tony

That's a really good idea! I like it a lot.

Blimey though, is it this time of year already. I guess it is. Well done on being ahead of the deadline for sorting stuff out.

That looks great YNot! I'm with Frankster, I can't believe it's almost that time of year again.

Just something I noticed, and it might just be the screen representation, but it looks like you're not using typographer's (curly) quotes on the inside of the card. I'd fix that, unless it's correct and it's just the way it looks on screen.

cool! nice details!

just one comment: i think it'll look better if there wasn't "..." in front of "dashing". There's just too many "..."s all around.

Yeah...After looking at it, I agree.

Thanks for all of the comments. I'm anxious to see what my customers think.

I'm guessing only the car buffs will 'get' them.. i like little insider jokes :D
had you thought about adding a santa? perhaps a little rough lookin'... maybe in an old army helmet painted red with some dark goggles, tattooed arm hanging over the door?

Thanks...yeah...I thought about adding a 'Santa' but with all of the religion/political correctness these days, I thought it might be better to just leave him out so as to not offend any clients.

Whadda ya think? leave him out, or add him in there?

i personally say b0ll0cks to political correctness... but what you have done so far is explicitly christmas (albeit in the commercial saint nick 'new' christmas sense of the word)... so i'd go for it if i were you :)

i know a few people of differing religions who happily give and receive christmas cards even though it is not their religion. They accept other people have differing beliefs to theirs and see no point in making an issue of it. I think people who have no tolerance of this and get offended over other peoples beliefs are perhaps a little sad. As an athiest i actually get a little tiny, tiny bit irate that people feel the need to put a generic 'happy holidays' instead of what it actually is, christmas, a christian holiday.

Would a christmas card REALLY offend a non-christian? Honestly?

I don't know YNOT. Most people are so numb to christmas time and Santa that they aren't even aware of it anymore unless they are just asking for trouble. I mean, my GF is Jewish and she is all gungho for the holiday time and never complains about Santa and baby Jesus stuff. *shrugs*

hehe...

for the 'non' car peeps...

It'llrock is a play on 'Edelbrock'
Sno is a play on 'Nos'
Jolley is a play on 'Holley'

Also note the gold 'bells' on the carburetors for velocity stacks.;)

I just may throw in a Santa...I'll see what I can come up with and if I can make him look 'cool' enough for that sleigh.

Not gonna lie, REALLY would like to see what your style of a person is. Your always doing cars and guitars, I've never seen a person come from you!

I really suck at drawing people so I usually try to avoid it. But we'll see how this one turns out.

I think I might be the only one that doesn't want to see santa in there. There's something nice about the way the sleigh is "displayed" like a show piece car at an exhibition. You never see people sat in the driver's seat of those. You do see a tonne of goggle eyed admirers around them though, so maybe a load of elves admiring the ride, lol!

i like the illustration alot!

your tmoore logo is really hard to see what it is.
i had to try 4 times to get the right website address

i first tried mooregraphics then i tried mtgraphics and ntgraphics and then finally tmooregraphics.

maybe im just an idiot but im sure someone else would have had the same problem
