Hello, I'm making logo for a company where I'm working. The company makes lots of stuff from all kinds of metal: buttons, medals, prizes, champion cups etc. There is lots of old motives, heraldic.
So here is it, please write some critics:

I would do some sketching and see what you come up with. Maybe play up the heraldic aspect you mentioned, I also work for a promotional products and ad specialties company. For some reason from your description I see a crest type of image but thats just my $.02.

I like the third one, but not for the company type you mentioned.

I think the third one with the fluer de lis is getting close, but I would push the heraldic concept a bit more...Like Logo and Ckret said...do some more sketching.

a little too girly looking for a metal company. don't get me wrong, i like the logos (especially the last one) but i don't think they communicate what you're trying to communicate. the text looks a little Ancient Rome, which could be ok if you're going for like a messenger/harbinger look. but i don't think it works in this case, as metal is usually associated with hard, industrial, clean - stuff like that. the middle logo probably works best for your intended purpose, but you might want to try a few more ideas.

Thanks for your critics, I really apreaciate it. I stuck with this logo for 8 months, there were lots of scetching, but I can't get to the concept and those are the closest ones. Anyway I need to work a little bit more.
One more thing. Do you really think that this font is not for a metal company? I's natural (because there are lots of hand-work in company), it's old, it reminds me metal carving and it's elegant. I browsed throu lots of fonts and this one is the best for me :)
My sister just told me third logo looks like butterfly, hehe.. Thats not the company I'm working in around ~30 hard working men and 2 women :)

i like the 3rd one but instead of a solid black box maybe break it ups some. make it so its not just a box. maybe cut the left and right sides so its not so flat. just a thought but i like the way its going.

the third is really nice, but I agree it doesn't seem like it is for the right company. I see it being more for like an upscale apartment complex or some high end outfitters...
I like the typeface and thats about all. However, that may be a more personal opinion rather then one related to the design objective.

at first glance no it doesn't really say "metal" but after you explain it a little it seems to make more sense. it is a nice font and on one hand, maybe it's a good thing that you're going the old, hand carved route, since most metal companies seem to go very modern with their logos.

Develop the third design more but with a more original and relevant motif.

I like the last one, maybe fill in the white areas that are attached to the rectangle.
It looks like a good logo for a company that does iron work. Like door knockers, nameplates etc.
