Hello guys I know a lot of people are asking themselves the same question.
I recently earned a BA in GD at a foreign country and now moved to the USA. I have strong skills in photoshop, etc. but when I'm interviewed they ask me for salary requirements and there is where I get stuck. I even thought about going freelance but, how much are we getting paid by the hour/project??? http://graphicdesignforum.com/emoticons/frusty.gif $$$$

Starting out, in a major agency, I'd pitch for mid thirties and ask for a raise in six months after they've seen you're worth more than you asked for. State high numbers and ask if that is near what they had in mind which will begin the negotiating process. You can always come down but you can't go up.

The 'Lettering Guy' says: 'It's not only what you say, but how well you say it.'
Thanks for your answer! I would have never dreamed of asking that much starting out...but you are right...you can come down but can not go up!
Thanks!
Digi :)
