I have a client who puts designs done for them (by outside designers) up on their internet/intranet sites for a year or two. They pay the designer for the rights to do this. Any guidelines on how much can be billed for this? Let's say a brochure is created for the company for $X. Do you figure a percentage of that, or is there another way to figure it that's independent of the price? Thanks!

Welcome to GDF.

Discussions about pricing are not allowed by the rules of the forum (http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=42), so I had to remove the dollar amount listed in your post.

If this can be discussed without naming dollar figures, no problem.

I'd recommend that you check out a copy of the Graphic Artists Guild (GAG) Handbook on Pricing and Ethical Guidelines. You can usually pick them up cheap on eBay.
