Hi.
Had a pic i altered some in photoshop, saved it as jpeg high resoultion (300), opened it in illy to put it in a brochure. Rotated this pic and it seems to become a bit blurry. Is this my imagination?? Whats going on...how can i fix it?
Many thanks!

Have you tried printing it yet? I find that Illy makes my bitmaps look junky while I am working but when I save for web or print it out they look fine.

yea i tried printing and it looked bad. i ended up going back to photoshop, rotating the image there, saving it as psd, and bringing it back to illy. it looked strange, but printed much better.

check your prefernces in Illy. I'm pretty sure you can set the quality for raster graphics.

Firstly, a jpg in Illy for print? Bad.
A .tif or .eps. is better.
If using .eps you have to think about unchecking low-res preview in your File Handling & Clipboard preference. If you do, redraws can be slow.
As far as setting Raster resolution, yes you can do that too under Effect>document raster effect setting. But I believe that only pertains to the Effects menu items, not placed images. At least, I've never had it affect images in print. So far.

save as an eps with a clipping path.
