Very cool PD! I was in the city the other day and saw a couple of new digital billboards they just put up, but I've never seen anything like that..wow!

Great idea on the reverse E.

Those are some really cool billboards PD, loved the junkyard wars. That cheese one was really cool too Urst, I love stuff like this. It would be really cool to do the design on some of those, great ideas on all of them.

It looks like fun. Those 3D elements really make you pay attention. The Target kettle ad reminded me of the old steaming billboard in Times Square. Check out this page of every ad in Times Square (http://www.ironicsans.com/2007/01/every_ad_in_times_square.html).

I did a Google search and thought this was funny...

My kids will benefit from those. It's a great showcase of some pretty good "concepts" to grab attention.

The only thing that bothered me, is what happens to these things when they outlive their usefulness?

um. er............
You really want to know....?
No you don't.

Actually, these days, anything that can be recycled, will be. You have to have some sort of recycling program in place or be looked at askance. Plastics, metal, paper/cardboard, wood scrap, even if some of it is sent to a reduction plant, that's all better than landfill. These guys most probably have something in place. Their clients would demand it.

The large format industry is slowly gearing up to get more 'green' products out on the market. A few are there now. Expensive, and sometimes a little impractical, but they are getting there. They aren't exactly being embraced by the designers yet who want things cheap with pure white substrates or long term prints or plastic instead of paper and then you put an adhesive on it and no recycling place wants it. They're getting there though...

Other than that, pretty nice collection.

I was having this issue at work (unable to recycle paper with spray adhesive) and have a tape sales man coming to the office to show me some double sided tape alternatives. Thought it kinda funny that the Rep felt he had to come visit us to ensure we received the "highest possilbe quality tape to suite our needs". We wouldn't even be buying alot from him but he wanted to come for the demo anyways. I mean we just needed a couple of rolls of double sided tape is all. lol

Anyways...just a "greener" alternative is my point.:D

I'd post a link but I'll spare you the NUMEROUS annoying popups... so here's a few adverts I found to be VERY catchy.... *clever*

Imagine what would happen though if there was a grisly car crash on that Mr. Clean or whiteout crossing site? Boy, the press would have a field day.

Actually, putting an ad in the middle of the street does seem a bit stupid. Even if a print product did recently become available that sticks to concrete, I think they meant it to be used on the sidewalks... LOL!

Very cool stuff, but I thought it was kind of funny that their browser resizing covered up half the content on their own site. *snicker*
