Okay, word is that it's possible to make a "menu" interface (think dvd) so that when you pop a cd or something into the computer it opens, and then you can 'select' a file or something off the disk.

anyone know what I'm talking about? I know it's also possible to do in inDesign, but don't know how to do that either.

Anyone out here that can help?

I dunno about in Acrobat, but in Indy, you can create them using the hyperlinks panel and they'll work when you export to a pdf.

If you just want to jump to pages, select the text that you want to be link text, and open Window -> Interactive -> Hyperlinks. From the flyout, select New Hyperlink, and type page, and then the page you want.

If you want to jump to a specific place on a page, you first have to create an anchor there. Go to the page you want, select the relevant text/whatever, and from the hyperlinks panel do new hyperlink destination. Then, when you creat your hyperlink, select type: text anchor, and then select the anchor you just created.
