Hi everyone,

Just finished a piece that is stylistically slightly different from the sort of thing I normally produce. Thought you might like to see it. The DJ (Misterlong) is famous for always wearing a truckers cap. He's also massive...like a trucker. Haha. So they wanted to have some allusion to this in the design.

Interesting composition. I don't adore it like your bon bon pieces though. Can't quite put my finger on it. Maybe becaus the bon bon stuff is really unique and beautiful but I feel like this piece looks like something I might have seen before.

The movement through the text is awesome! I actually sat and read it, so it does a great job on getting the viewer there.

I'm not big on the hat. Love the colors, love the truck, love the half/tone screen printed looking background. The hat throws me, but maybe it's part of the MisterLong imagery?

yea i dont think the hat is neccessary, and i am just curious, whats the purpose of the flatbed? Overall its a really strong piece, nice work.

I like it. The only thing though, when I see a lot of distressed text like this, is the desire to see the distressing look less uniform. I realize this is a font and that's a heck of a lot of copy to work with, but it would be cool if the letters all looked slightly different, as if they'd truly been exposed to the elements somehow.

the blocks of text on the back are supposed to allude to being boxes on the flatbed truck. I toyed with making that much more obvious (by enclosing the text blocks into boxes) but i wanted to leave it more abstract.

Is this final? Just wondering if you post before your print or after its sent off. First off, I love the style. Just a hard time reading everything. I think because it appears so cramped. I immediately understood the boxes on the truck, seems like that could be emphasized much more, possible separted from the rest.

i like it but i do find it hard to read. i kinda get drawn to the description text first, then up the page then gotta sort it out where i want to go in my head.

Definitely hard to read. Prioritize your information and make the most important things stand out. With event posters, I've always found that less is way more. Good luck!

I like the look, but that is a LOT of text. I sure didn't read all of it. I imagine you don't have a choice with that though.
