Here's a couple other for text edits:
Holding down Ctrl (or Cmnd) temporarily shifts from text edit to text box transform (move, scale, rotate, etc.).
ESC releases you from text edit mode. But you have to press V again to move things around. Earlier versions needed Ctrl-Enter to do that.

awesome X2, i never knew the escape trick...i always hated hitting space bar to drag my work area and adding a bajillion spaces!
