Whew, I can finally post this and get it all out. This was a custom job through the whole process. Custom photo shoot in house for all of the product shots, the pours, down to the macro lime shots. At least 40+ hours of design time. File size was upwards of 1.5gigs at one point. Glad to put this one to rest and makes for a great portfolio piece.

Couple side notes, the bodies are all custom and our template from the last race truck we did didn't have the foot steps in the body, so my logo bar on the bottom got chopped up, thankfully we printed that piece separately so they were just able to chop it up and slap it on as opposed to having one of the logos on the full wrap part and getting cut out for the foot hold.

And without further delay.....

Sweet! Nice job D-Frag. I only ever get to do 18 wheelers, vans and certain cars.

I remember the dune buggey you did... I know it was a different ad but was it the same people?

Nice job, D! I suddenly feel like drinking a bunch of margaritas and then trying to race a truck...

thanks everyone, i don't get to drive it though, these trucks are VERY expensive, so no. we did 2 bodies for them though, so if one gets messed up in the race, they can change out the panels for the winning photo shoot afterwards ;)

exodus: not the same people as the dune buggy, I did that design at my old job actually.

thanks, the funnest part about this product, was enjoying the actual product after the photo shoot ;)

here is a close up of the detail on the door, alot of work went into making the bottle transparent so you could see the background, and also making the tequila semi-transparent to reflect the background as well. along with alot of highlighting, burning and dodging!

Excellente! Mas tequila por favor! Great job on that D-frag! How does Sauza compare with other tequilas? I can't drink it anymore, just makes me take my clothes off and do bizarre things like mooning cops and such.

typically, no tequila was harmed in the making of this photo shoot, we poured into cups and then refilled for more photos.

wannabrie, Sauza is a fantastic tequila fyi, I had to do quite a bit of research on this one before I started on it, so I ended up on there website reading about the processes and they are as extraordinary in comparison with other tequila's. tequila makes me do crazy things, ive had enough of those "crazy things" happen in rocky point mexico ;)

I absolutely love the layering of textures at the very front of the hood, with the plant, and the area right below the word 'tequila.'

Great job, D-Frag!

That's pretty damn sweet. D-Frag.
Do you get any type of technical draws, schematics, bar napkin drawings or 3D models of the truck before you start, or do you have to figure that out for yourself?
