To make you feel bad about your own offices.
This Ain't No Disco - it's where we work (http://aintnodisco.com/)

Nope. Don't feel bad at all. I'd hate an office you couldn't mess up.
:D
BTW, that has got to be one of the slowest loading sites I've seen in a while.

True, the pics are pretty large - at least there is a load bar to tell you why it's taking 30 secs to see a 700kb photo. I guess it's because these designers that work at these lovely places don't realise that the large photos they are uploading need to be downloaded again for those viewing. Save for web anyone?!

You see, my office is a fairly typical cube-farm type deal. But I have a comfy chair, a large desk that I can cover in scraps of paper to doodle on when I'm thinking, a window I can open to allow me to breathe actual air (as opposed to whatever that stuff that comes out of air conditioning is) and people I quite like sitting near me. Oh, and a computer.
That's about my ideal creative environment, really. I just don't need a lifesize statue of a cow in reception.

I would like a lifesize cow in our reception. We've just got our receptionist instead.

The office that I work at is nice but, it's really dark...vampire dark. When it's cloudy and/or rainy outside, the area that I work in is almost completely dark. This site does give you a warm an squishy feeling though. Some of these places are beautiful.

We have a reception area, with a reception desk, but no actual receptionist sitting at it. It's quite confusing enough for people visitting, without them having to deal with a cow statue, too :D

I have an oversized office. I love it. It's referred to as the studio, but it's my office. I sit looking down on busy Yonge St in my U shaped desk (two big windows beside me (with blinds so color matching isn't a nightmare.)
I have been decorating it bit by bit with stuff my wife has deemed "no longer suitable for our apt".....things like my Donald Duck head piggy bank (had since I was 3), my coconut monkey (carving from coconut duh), my "participant" trophy (joke parting gift from last job), Pinkpanthers The Ant and the advaark figurines, some pics of me and wife, and a bunch of artwork (personal and design related) hanging up.
One thing I have always believed in no matter what the work setting...an "art dept" should be decorated such. So that it's more fun than the average office space.

yeah, i also believe that a creative space should be filled with creative things... unfortunatley, flat walls in the company colours do not qualify for that description. :(

I compensate for the somewhat normal building I work in by jamming as many toys into my cubicle as humanly possible. While my building has somewhat modern architecture, the atmosphere around here certainly does not have any creative spirit...
Some of those studios are cool... others not as much. I've been in a few studios where it seems like they tried too hard to be hip. Theres a point where it kind of becomes cliche, sort of like the dozens of chain restaurants that line the walls with random objects.
