Bunny tongue!!!!

Bunny tongues are so funny. After they eat apples, their muzzlepuff is all sticky and they have to lick all around their muzzlepuff. But the tongue movement is very quick as if they don't want anyone to glimpse their wee tongues.

It really depends but it can be done. Mentex the cat first met a bunny when she was a kitten. The bunny was Sharmi who was a big old bunny. Sharmi didn't like Mentex at all at the start, she would growl and stomp her big back feet when ever Mentex was in the room. Over time (a few weeks), Sharmi realised that Mentex wasn't a threat. They hung out at home all day together loose and unsupervised. Bunny was the boss so the relationship was pretty good.

These days, Mentex is an adult cat and we have 2 baby bunnies. The bunny/cat relationship has changed quite a lot. We keep the bunnies caged up during the day just because Mentex is a lot bigger than the buns and we don't want to risk her playing rough with them when we are not around. When we are at home though, they all play loose around the house.

Mentex is ok with them, but there are days when she plays a bit rough. It warms my heart when they clean each other.

How is Wilson like with other animals? If he's a hunter, you might want to consider adopting a bigger adult rabbit instead of a baby one since a baby bunny one might be too irresistable to Wilson's hunting instincts.

Mine don't eat buttons. Oh no. I lied, mine don't eat buttons on clothes but we have a foot stool with 4 buttons on the top and they have eaten those.

They find phone chargers absolutely DELICIOUS! They simply cannot resist them. They have eaten 4 phone chargers so far.

Something to think about for sure. If you have a lot of cords around, there are ways to bunny proof them (moving the furniture around etc) but you need to be quite commited.

They are certainly cute, but they do have a passion for destruction.

House Rabbit Society (http://www.rabbit.org/) is a good site for those considering having a rabbit in the house. Those that keep rabbits in a hutch outside certainly don't have much to worry about, but when you only see a rabbit once a day to feed it, you really don't get the full delight of them and you don't really learn their individual personalities.

Gosh I let Tofu out this morning and when I went to bring him back inside he had lots of these little spiked balls on him. Generally, yes, but if I'm still they pay no attention. I was talking to neighbor Bob when I spotted them, pulled my iPhone out of my pocket and slowly took about three steps towards them. They both froze (you can see their ears up!). I snapped the pic, then as I turned back to Bob -- much faster than I approached them -- they took off like a shot. No dessert, no tip. :D

They won't come closer than about three feet, and I've never tried to get closer than that. I wish I could train them to eat all the weeds! :p

My daughter is completely crazy about it. Her friend said they can "share" it, meaning she comes to visit almost daily. They named her Cocoa. I was pushing for Myna Myna since that is what my other daughter used to call bunnies when she was learning to talk.
