I am getting the top part of an A4 page cut off when I try to print using a Lexmark C534 DN printer. The problem seems to be that the 'Imageable area' size shown in the Quark Print 'Preview' box is smaller than A4. ie W 200.025mm x H 243.769mm. The document size is OK 210mm x 297mm. How can I change the imageable size to 297mm deep x 210mm wide?

Change it from a portait to lanscape print?
Tile the print?
Fit to page?

Thanks. Tried changing to landscape, it still cuts of edges of the document.
Tile to fit. Yes thats possible but tedious as A4 is used for business letters.
Fit to page, OK but it reduces the document down to 82%. Again these are business letters. So they need to be the correct size.

does your printer setup allow for "borderless" printing?

No the Lexmark C534 DN is a colour laser printer that does not allow printing over the edge.

hmm, last option, print on larger paper then trim it, or is A4 the larges paper it will take?

Yep. that's the largest. My feeling is that somewhere in Quark 5. in Classic Mode there is a way of changing the 'imageable area'. But so far I can't find where.

What happens if you use a different PPD / Printer (like Adobe PDF or Distiller)?
It sounds like your current printer description won't allow printing in the
printer margin. By selecting a printer that doesn't use a margin you can check
to make sure Quark isn't the culprit.

It sounds like your printer won't print within a certain print border. Just because you can lay it out on an A4 size sheet doesn't mean the printer can print all of it. Our laser has 1/4" all around the page size that stays white. I can put all the color I want to out there on the edge in Quark but the printer won't print it. It's a function of your printer driver, not Quark.
