Hi all –

I know we're mostly print/web people here, but I figured some of the webbies might know the answer to this: to make a very long story short, I need to insert a piece of video into a PowerPoint document. That is not really a problem, except PowerPoint won't get along with Quicktime files or the H.264s that Premiere Pro will export. I have pretty much zero knowledge of After Effects, but I saw that "AVIs" and other formats are export options, so I tried importing my full movie clip from Premiere Pro – which works –*but when I export it only gives me a percentage of the total frames.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this, because it is driving me positively BATTY!

Thanks!

Dunno what's causing that, but I've exported movies as wmv through the Adobe Media Encoder in Premiere Pro, and had them play fine in Powerpoint.

Hey Hew, were you on a PC or a MAC? I am coming to find out that makes a big difference when it comes to video.

If you were on a MAC [like me] could you tell me exactly where that export feature is? THANK YOU, THANK YOU! =)

I do the video stuff on Windows, but this part at least is pretty much the same on a Mac.

The Adobe Media Encoder's at the bottom of the File -> Export menu. From the format select box at the top of the export settings in the media encoder, select "Windows Media." Then choose some appropriate compression settings.

^^ Spaces added because the forum's antispam filters don't seem to like the name. You'll have to remove the spaces to make it work.

(I'm using Premiere Pro 2 - if you're using an earlier version things may be different)
