Hi - I have modified and saved my Illustrator CS2 startup CMYK file with a maximised document window, but when I open a new document I cannot get the document to be maximised on screen automatically - it's header bar is always floating just under the startup screen's main bar. I always then have to press the maximise button on the top right of the document window to push it up. I've tried saving a workspace, but this too doesn't affect the maximisation of the new document window and always plonks it below.

Has anyone found a way around this?

Cheers
Suzy

I don't think you can change that. I believe that is the way all the windows will open, with no way to change it...

Is it REALLY THAT much of a frustration to have to click 1 button to get it to fill the screen?

err... yes! When working on loads of different docs it is. Other apps do it, so why not that one - especially when you can configure pretty much everything else - oh well.
