I got a client wanting their logo to look something like Nestle Crunch's logo. I dont want to infringe on their copywrite but still get the overall look of it. Does my design look like it would be safe enough to use? I havent showed it to the people wanting it yet.

Close to infringement... enough to have to defend yourself on.

Tell the client to rethink the idea,

I email them back saying I would rather do something original for them.

Hey there,

Just wondering are there a threads or websites that detail/ explain what constitutes infringment.

Cheers

Not only is the design similar, but so is the name. I most DEFINITELY wouldn't combine those two things, makes for a much stronger copyright infringement case for Nestle.

That's a cease and desist waiting to happen, for sure.

Explain to your client copyright, copyright infringement, and the advantage of a new and unique brand identity (and product name, for Pete's sake!).
