Illustrator file - save for web - part of image not showing

Hi Everyone.
I opened a customer's original eps file in Illustrator - copied it and made a new file - where i am creating a tshirt mockup file - save it as an ai. file/ then Save for Web to upload to the internet. This is something we do on a very regular basis and usually turns out fine. But when I Save For Web on this particular file, All the text disappears and only the images show up.
All the text is outlined in illustator.
I can't figure out how to save this as a jpg so i can upload it.
Anyone know why this is happening or how i can fix it?

Is the text on a non-printing layer?

Hi - When i open the layers - there are a bunch that just say compound path or path. And every letter is on a separate layer.
I have two files where this is happening both from the same customer and on one of the files - it is part of the image, not text.
I tried Flattening the layers but nothing happened

I also tried Export as jpg instead of Save for Web and same thing

Try opening the file in Photoshop and save for web from there.

(You're going to rasterise it anyway...)

thats what the other guy at work did when i couldn't figure it out. I was so wrapped up in WHY it wouldn't work - it didn't even occur to me to do it in Photoshop.
I know - Retarded!
