Hello-
I've been tasked with creating/updating/maintaining my company's Style Guide. This will contain both writing styles to adhere to, as well as graphic styles that I'm in charge of (colors, fonts, logo usage, etc.).

Over the years, I've really only laid my eyes on a couple of good style guides, and I no longer have access to them. Does anyone here have a style guide they'd like to share with me for me to share with my team (no, not steal your design or anything)? I'd like to get a good solid grasp of what should go into a great style guide for my company.

If you're comfortable doing this, please share your company's or any other freely accessable Style Guide you're fond of.

Feel free to move this if I've misposted, and pardon me if I've broken any forum rules, I'm just seeking some guidance :)

Also known as a "Branding Standards Manual or Guide" ive got a couple here but I can't really share them because it is private client materials. Maybe do a google search for branding standards and see if you can gank any off the web from somewhere.

I've found tons of style guides by doing Google searches for any of the following phrases:

"graphic stanstards manual"
"graphics manual"
"branding standards manual"

..etcetera.

The trick is, though, to put "filetype: pdf" or use the advanced search to specify that you only want to find pdf files. Once your results show up you can either click one by one to download them or what I like to do is use a Firefox extension to download all of them automatically.

The Firefox extension is called "DownThemAll" and can be found here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/201

It's actually a pretty good way to find all kinds of print designs on the web. Once you have a folder full of downloaded pdf files you can use Adobe Bridge or something like it to quickly browse through the gallery of files and spot the ones that are good to add to your design inspiration folder.

^^great idea, undressed. :)

Here (http://www.google.com/search?q=brand+guidelines+filetype:pdf&hl=en&client=safari&rls=en&start=10&sa=N) are the results of a Google search I did, using brand guidelines filetype:pdf as my search string.

Thanks for the Google tips, I did use Google quite a bit already on this and it's a matter of having the time to sift through the good and mediocre :)
