Hi guys,
I tried to find a good graphic designer, to make design for software (language dictionary). His portfolio was very good, but I am not completely sure, should I be satisfied with his work. I am not a designer and I know nothing about it, but I know what I like and something makes me dissatisfied, something always misses. I really would like to hear some comments.

Thank you!

I don't think we are allowed to critique someones work if they didn't post it, but I like it. Looks great.

No one here can tell you what is going to suit your business, because no one knows your business. The least useful thing you can say to your designer is "I know what I like and something makes me dissatisfied". That is entirely unhelpful. It's like listening to a baby scream because they are unhappy and not being able to figure out what the hell is wrong because they can't talk to you. You are a grown adult and I presume perfectly capable of intelligent thought and speach. Instead of showing your designer's work (without thier permission) to a bunch of other people who DO NOT KNOW YOUR BUSINESS and so cannot comment effectively, you should be communicating with your designer, preferably face to face and *after* you have sat down for a long time and come up with more vocabulary on the subject than "I don't like it". WHY don't you like it? It is the answer to that question that is the key to your designer being able to please you. No one else can tell you why *you* don't like something.

Thanks Urst. To be honest I was kind of surprised at the clarity that that came out with (bit like Will Ferral at the debate in Old School), but even more pleasantly surprised that OP listened and got it. Good on them! Another disaster averted for designerkind by the power of GDF. ;)
