Hi, Everyone!

This is my first post in this forum and I want some advice on what kind of printer to get.

I am currently looking into buying a good hi res printer for home. But don't really know what manfacture, resolution, and quality should I buy. I want a printer to print hi res 4 color and hi res bw prints, where you can see very sharp edges. I want to cnet.com to get some idea. But cnet.com mostly review on the photo printer. I am confused is that what I need to look into for graphic design. Any suggestions?!

Thanks,
Chan422

price range: $100 - $250
for home use....not mass printing, but will print about 10 copies per project
prefer large format, like 11X17

Have you looked into Epson printers at all? Any decent printer will print a 'high res' product, assuming your paper and image is of high(er) quality.

also, you may get in an epson larger-format printer for around 300 after shipping, but it would be close. i'm looking now myself. that's about the lowest you'll get for under 400 bucks.
