Went and saw a movie yesterday via a projector at Uni. I found that during scenes that had a lot of white in them, if I looked around the screen I could see Red, Green, Blue echos of the image. They disappeared when I focused on one spot.
What was that? Is that to do with the refresh rate?

were you looking into the future?

I didn't realise that my question would conjur more questions!
Maybe If I had stepped into the projection I would have found myself in another time and place?

That is revolting. I have never even thought to put instant coffee in the microwave. What happened to you when you did it Broacher?

It's gross ... and if you put it in after you heat the water it boils over the cup.

How was the movie projected? If they were using one of those things with three separate projectors for each light color (http://www.electrokinetics.com/images/PROJECTOR-LIFT-PRL-014-48.jpg), they might not have been aligned correctly.
It's more fun to say that buda was seeing the future though.

White is full percentages of R G & B right? Since there was so much RGB on the screen, the layers of time parted and I was able to glimpse another dimension. I should have seen if it was a world where the world was made entirely of roast dinners.

But if the entire world were made of roast dinners, then YOU would have been made of roast dinner as well. Would you eat yourself if that were the case?
I think I know the answer anyway... :D

I'm so hungry. I got half a sandwhich in my bag - the other half I had for breakfast :)

What you seen was the area of unfocased screen. If you play with the focus of the projector you will see the whole image in RGB.

LOL, I'm not sure, I was too busy looking at the screen.
Sandwhich has all been eaten!

I'm a smooooooth operaaaaator! :D
Half a sandwhich for lunch is so not enough but don't have much $ on me. I could maybe afford 1 piece of sushi. Gonna walk to the bakery and see what they can do for me. I love bakeries. Cheap, tasty, good food.

Do cinnaminny twistie things have raisins in them? I'm not too fond of raisins. Might be because one time I saw my cousin drop a box of raisins on the carpet. Before he picked all raisins up (eating them one by one) there was a dead fly on the ground also. By the time he was finished, dead fly was gone.

ewww gawd .. what a thought
No... these have no raisins ... just sort of an elongated twisted cinnamon donut - good for dunking ;)

Don't do it. See, it violates fundamental laws of physics (the 'Accelerated Instantaneous Effect' as it will soon be known) and as a result, it pops the safety valve on the space/time continuum. [sigh]
(I just hope I live long enough to see grandpa when he's born.)

I once read about a sort of crayfish or sea creature that had some cool vision stuff going on, can't remember exactly what it was, but I think it had something to do with polarizing.

Don't feel sorry for goldfish. They have a memory that lasts only 3 seconds. While normally that would disqualify them for almost any job (except possibly a U.S. congressman), it also means that they don't dwell on things. Heck, you can't even flush a toilet that fast.
