I sent out a press release via e-mail 2 days ago and was contacted today about doing a short interview and with a possible pic. I sent it the Park Rapids Enterprise in Park Rapids, MN. I plan on getting more out tomorrow, but it's pretty exciting to get a response so soon. I encourage each of you who designed a page or had any involvement with the calendar to do the same.

I really felt like they were jumping at the bit to get the scoop on this. I'm pumped!

I have the interview set up for Tuesday. Luckily I have a copy of the calendar for them to see since they asked.

Have sent contacts to a radio show in the Twin Cities and the Duluth Tribune. Also will be a feature in NutritionalFusions upcoming newsletter!

awesome! Let us know how it goes, Tea!

if you don't mind my asking, how did you format your press release?

I took Kool's advice and just wrote an e-mail to the appropriate contacts for the paper/media service.

This is exactly what I wrote in the e-mails:

Hello -
I would like to submit a press release for a story that I think you
might find interesting which involves several graphic designers from all
over the world who donated their time and efforts to help a girl in the
Duluth area. Could you assist me in finding the correct person to
submit the press release to?

So far - three for three with one interview.

The interview is with the the Park Rapids Enterprise and the other two submitted press releases just went out a few minutes ago to the St. Paul Pioneer Press and the Duluth Tribune.

I'm not kidding either when I say I received e-mail responses within 20 minutes of sending them.

This is a good story folks. I'm honored to be a part of it.

Morea - I just sent the Word version of the download"able" press release from the site.

awesome. Thanks, Tea.

I don't think that the story would get much press here since all of the papers are in french - but I was thinking of emailing it to the paper back home (that is, unless Kittie has already done it!)

I've been looking to see if there is an on-line article, but today's paper featured a very nicely written article with links to the calendar and oneana.com. I hope it generates a few sales. It was very well written and if I find it, I will post.

Tea -could you email a bigger picture to me? I have some updates to do on the site this weekend and could put up a notice on the media page.

Awsome work!
