I'm going to London for about 8 days in January. Would love to meet some international designers from here. Maybe go to a few museums, some design type places (if anyone knows of any exhibitions, museums, etc. related to design, please let me know!!!) a few drinks, etc.

Thanks all! :D

I'd recommend visiting the British Museum (http://www.britishmuseum.org/) in London. I posted some pics of the Atrium there that surrounds the Reading room in this thread (http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=30310). It's beautiful. (ADMISSION FREE)

The Victoria and Albert Museum (http://www.vam.ac.uk/collections/index.html) is not to be missed. (ADMISSION FREE)

For art in general, a trip to the Tate Britain (http://www.tate.org.uk/britain/) is in order. (ADMISSION FREE)

The Natural History Museum and the Science Museum are also very impressive if you are not museumed out (if you're like me then that isn't possible). (ADMISSION TO BOTH IS FREE)

There is a museum specifically for design in London too. (http://www.designmuseum.org/info) (THIS ONE WILL COST YOU and in my opinion isn't worth it when you have the other fabulous museums with art and design in abundance)

Frank,
Thank you for the links. The Natural history and the victoria and albert museums are already on my list. I appreciate the others as well!!

As for being museumed out, you can never get enough of museums, but your eyes, as well as your mind, needs a break sometimes. But hey, I'll be in London for 12 days (minus a day for travel) so I will have plenty of time to savor London.

You have to book ahead to go, but I'd be interested to see this place (http://www.belowzerolondon.com/icebar/index.html). Some of my freinds from home are going this week.
