Define 'cost effective'.
If hiring for money, post a classified ad.

Here are 3 cleavers for you to choose from :)

I guess it all depends on what you are cleaving.

Can't help you with your second request.

If hiring for money, post a classified ad. Im looking for someone who works from home and understands our needs and can provide us with quality. We had some redicilous offers in the past. We are roling new system in Feb. and are hoping to have it in place by then.

http://www.creativecookware.com/images/cleaver%20knife%20set3.JPG we had some really high offers in the last few months.. That is due to the fact that these were big software companies (that's why I ask for cost efficiency). I am more looking for someone who can work for us full time for the next 6 months.

Have you considered that maybe your high offers were the going rate for what you are asking for?

Sometimes you get what you pay for. Do you really want to get a cheap programmer only to find they don't meet deadlines, can't deliver what they promise etc?

How do you know that what you want to pay is feasible?

I don’t understand. You all talked about the money side of this. How about some creativity?? You are designers after all.. aren’t you??? Or is it all about the money??
Don’t have me wrong.. I am not a tight ass.. I make good money and I share fortune but only with the RIGHT PEOPLE. I am a business owner. I used to sell IT in Australia. I know a lot about IT.
All I am saying is I don’t want a huge company custom design our software because they are going to charge us a lot more money than you guys..It's the same with any other business... in any other industry...! I am rather willing to give you an opportunity and I am sure I get better result and help at the back end.. I have a lot of work for the right people..
We are in the middle of a five hotels project.. each hotel needs fully dedicated Brochures, Drafts, Visualizations and all kinds of different designing to do. Websites for our various businesses such as our construction company, management company, investment company and more. Not even mentioning the CRM rollout for all our offices throughout our existing VPN Network.

So can we please talk about this for a change????

Well, it's not all about the money, but it's a lot about the money. I like my job and all, but if they weren't paying me, I'd probably be doing something else.

So, yeah, thanks for the opportunity to work for cheap and all, but, no.

How old are you my dear? Shurly you know that companies pay taxes. if you were the one to do this I could pay cash and both parties saved money (amongst many other ways). Where ever you are. But I guess you just don't see that far?
Is it possible? It makes me wonder sometimes...

Dude, creepy...

Shurly you know that companies pay taxes.

Yeah, I had heard, actually.

Where I come from, that's illegal, mate.

The first thing you asked for are some knives and then the second thing you asked for is cost effective. You don't say ANYWHERE that you wanted a creative designer. Therefore, no one is interested in your job.

Now, if you are looking to employ someone, post a classified advertisement in the classified section (http://www.graphicdesignforum.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=33) of this forum with a list of qualities you need from a designer. Also post the workload and deadlines/turnaround time. If you are able, post how much you are willing to pay.

Leave your contact details and ask to see a portfolio or website.

You won't get far here this route. Most here worth their salt won't work without a contract and usually work within the bounds of whatever tax laws bind their professional business. For the amount of content you are looking for, if you don't go for an agency or a real, whiz-bang, high-output web/print designer who knows what they are doing the first time, you are not going to get all that in 6 months without it costing you. A lot. Professional designers are professionals. Not under-the-table hacks.

I have already placed an ad in the Classifieds Section. It's all clearly explained there. Cheers for participating.
