Wacom tablet over sensitive

I have a Wacom A5 graphire4 tablet but a having problems with the pen being too sensitive and am not sure how to sort it out. In Photoshop painter or Artrage the pen will create marks even when not touching the tablet, so if I try to draw somehing I get a contuniuous line even when I have lifted the pen of the tablet to move to another area of the page. I have tried altering the sensitivity in Painterbut this didn't work. Any ideas please?

Check the control panel/wacom setting ap (in Windows) for sensitivity settings.

I have the wacom intous2, not sure if the graphire series has this.
