I thought that's what you meant but I wasn't sure! :o)
The baseline grid is the only function I know that will do this. If it doesn't line it up exactly as you want it you may want to go in and just tweak the leading where its needed in tiny increments. Sounds like a pain but only takes a sec. The align to baseline grid function should take care of this tho....wierd!
Did you do it on the control pallette under Paragraph formatting controls >align to baseline grid??

Align to baseline grid it is work but.
baseline grid is not same as leading.
how do i get leading 2 pt if use align to baseline grid because leading 2 pt not same as increment every 2 pt on baseline drid.

Umm yeah...ok I know there is a difference between baseline grid and leading..
In your controls pallete change from the paragraph formatting view to 'character formatting view'. Select the area of text that needs adjustments and go to your leading on your controls pallette. Just adjust the numbers in tiny increments. As long as they are very small adjustments it won't be noticable.

Yeah tell me about it! Alot of times I have to go to someone and ask them to explain an article to me bc I need some art in there or something. It's a pin in the booty to not be able to read it sometimes but on the other hand its kinda cool that I can layout something I can't read - haha ;o)

OOooaohhh Laaa laaaa ;o)
Seriously benjo..have you ever laid out something you can't read (I MEAN A PUBLICATION - bad bad bad..LOL)! OYE! My boss started a spanish pub about a year ago 'La Voz Latina'. Mainly for his wife I think (she is from Colombia), allthough we do have a growing hispanic population here in Georgia. So he tells me that eventually I will have to learn Spanish. Ok..umm...I don't think so. I have no desire to learn Spanish allthough having it whispered in my ear in the middle of the night is ok. OMG - oops...wasn't spose to type that outloud!!! LOL ;o)
Anyways...you get what I mean. My boss doesn't even know how to speak it. His wife prolly talks about him all the time and he doesn't even know it! ROFLMFAO!! ;o) It is pretty funny actually!

that's ridiculous, dz. you should learn spanish. #1 - it's sexy. #2 - you'll get to flirt with sexy spanish dudes. #3 - hire an intern, then take a few hours a week from work to take a spanish course that YOUR BOSS CAN PAY FOR.
geez. you're just not thinking about this correctly.

whenever you can, make one huge text box and give it multiple columns rather than making lots of text boxes that are linked together. this should keep all your baselines aligned.
(i used to design a alt weekly paper and we did this. we were in quark there. i'm now in indesign at a new job.)

earlier post is right with the 'one big textbox' with multiple columns. then the text will have to behave the same way within it. Sometimes the textbox needs to be longer to give room for the text to sit on the bottom baseline.
check there isn't a runaround interfering with your textbox too
Also you have to make the leading and font size not too big for the baseline increment

What you really want to access here is the paragraph property called 'Align to Baseline Grid' (and if you want your styles to align to this grid, it should be included there as well). The grid's depth is actually set in Preferences (Grids) and it can be manually set or overridden in the Paragraph palette (little icons right below right indent on the left side).
