can anyone tell me how to save down to quark 6 from quark 7??

What I got from 3 minutes of digging:



Go to Edit, Export, Layouts as Project then you can change which version you want to save as.

----

If you export from QX7 to an earlier version you loose transparency, drop shadow and any other features that are new in QX7

We just upgraded to Quark 7 and have found - through extensive trial and error - that

IF: You are exporting back for a Quark 6 user
Then: You must export layout in 6 (with a new file name and location)
Then: Open the newly exported file and RE export it as a Quark 6 file

I have no idea why this works but it will help with the crashing about 90 percent of the time.


IF: You are exporting for a Quark 6.5 user
Then: You may follow the procedures for a Quark 6 user
OR: Then can update to Quark 6.5.2 which seems to have addressed this problem (as AndyMac posted)
