in photoshop can u fade a layers opacity? if so, how?

Hey Debz....all you have to do is go to your layers palette in PS...should be a slider that says Opacity, adjust it where you want it and that's it. :o)

yah but can u have one end be like 100% and the other end be 25% and have it fade? lol

Oh yeah......DUH. ..sorry Debz! You can use your gradient tool for that. Set your foreground to white and drag it across that layer and it will give it a face effect. You gotta play with it some tho to get it right.

thanks! lol.. yeah thats how i was doing it!! :) wasnt sure if there was another way.. sry i wasnt clear the 1st time. lolol
