As some of you might know, I sent in something to coudal partners and got featured on their website. So it got me to thinking, that maybe if we sent in one of our calendars they might feature us and then offer to be an additional vendor for us. If nothing else, it could be additional exposure for us. (I don't believe they charge anything to offer items for sale) Just a thought....what do you all think? Also, I know this is late in the game, but it just occurred to me.

I think it's a good idea.

Why is that a silly idea? Sounds like a great idea to me. With something like this there is no such thing as bad publicity.

That's what I thought...I'd be willing to donate my copy, but I really wanna keep my copy...I can't afford to buy a new one just yet, anyone wanna go in halfsies and I'll pay postage to send it to coudal? Any other ideas?

oh and I also just sent off an email to a friend who works for the local paper asking if maybe we might merit a "human interest" story. Who knows?
Brie, contact Drazan via PM and just have her send you another one no charge.

I'm not against the idea per se, but at this time there have been 15 orders out of the 46 designers that have worked on the project. I'd rather see someone assemple a mailing list or pm list or something to get the rest of the designers to at least order one. I understand that some may not be able to for various reasons. However, I don't think that 60% of us can't afford the calendar.
I'd also like to see more "free" advertising than sending out freebie calendars. It costs agaist raising the money for Ana at a minimum of $15 or more depending on where it's being shipped to. We've already lost $50 on another paid type of publicity.
I'd rather pay $75 and get a legit online add in one of the metro news papers.
Again, this is getting late in the year. So....perhaps rally the troops for a 2008/2009 calendar attempt that can be done and on it's way to market by the first of September. We still have well over 100 calendar cases to be filled and sold.
Just my input.

Did anyone send out press releases other than me? I don't remember reading that anyone did. The press release is easy to send folks. The worst than can happen is you don't get a response. However, I am surprised that the Duluth news stations and papers I sent a press release did not pick up on it.
Unfortunately, the article that came out in one of my local papers coincided with the postal shipping charge glitch. I had several people ask me about it. They were unsure of the validity of the site since there was no contact info. Just my two cents.
