Howdy. Has anyone got any advice on converting photos to graphic novel/comic style illustrations?
It is to create a landscape of Gotham City style buildings. Any help would be much appreciated!

I'm having trouble at the moment to get the right photo/graphic style...

A bit like this

I use a programme called alias sketchbook pro, but i you probably don't want to be drawing this stuff. i've just tried overlaying different layers with effects such as filter > sketch > photocopy over the original image and things along those lines might be worth a try to thicken the edge lines and then blurring the original image underneath.

Sorry to not be of anymore help

it would be more fun and way less frustrating for me to just draw them.

Yeah get the pen and paper out and start doodling, it's the only way to get your desired effect to look correct!

I've seen some portfolios of stuff that people did with some program called Painter, these pieces were of orgasmical proportions, I think they drew overtop of scanned skylines with a graphics tablet.

Either that or you might want to randomly pic three photoshop filters out of a hat and apply them to your photos.

Match in the gas tank, boom boom.

there was a good PS tutorial on DesignerToday Magazine called 'Building Buildings,' but I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for...
